Fresh Steps Housing provides structured shared housing for adults able to live independently in a community environment with shared living expectations and house guidelines.
Is this assisted living?
No. Residents must be able to live independently and manage their own daily needs. Fresh Steps Housing does not provide medical care, 24-hour supervision, or assisted living services.

Yes. Most housing options include shared rooms with furnished accommodations and shared common areas.

Limited private room options may be available depending on housing availability and placement.

No. Fresh Steps Housing maintains a drug- and alcohol-free living environment.
Are guests allowed?
Unauthorized guests or visitors are not permitted.
Are background checks or credit checks required?
Yes. All applicants complete a background and credit check as part of the application process — but this is a second-chance program, and you do not need a perfect background or credit score to be considered. These checks are used strictly for house pairing purposes, to help us place you in a home that’s the right fit for everyone living there.
